This was the greatest day of my life. I woke up on a sidewalk not knowing where I was or how I got there. My health was at an all-time low. I had no place to call home and was basically begging people to let me live with them. My career as a teacher was about to come to a crashing halt.

Why would this be the greatest day of my life? Because I cried out to God and said, “God, if you are real, save me.” And he heard me. Psalm 40:2 says he pulled me out of the pit and set my feet on solid ground. That day, God put a new song of praise in my mouth (Psalm 40:3).

For nearly 15 years now, I have been telling everyone how the worst day of my life became the greatest day because it led me to accept Jesus as my Lord and Savior.
