Have you noticed that many people in Christian circles are talking about “breakthrough?” What does it mean to have a breakthrough?

I think it is amazing that God wants us to breakthrough a tough point in our lives, but what if I told you that the breakthrough comes after the suffering has completed its works in us? Said another way, breakthrough is awesome, but it often comes about after we have been crushed, put through an intense period of testing, and have suffered a little while. I challenge us all to stop focusing on when the trials are over, but to find glory and honor through the struggles we face.

Hebrews 5:8 says that Jesus learned obedience through his suffering and that his suffering made him complete. Shouldn’t the same apply to us? And since we have been trained by instant gratification, we have done everything in our power to avoid the struggles because we want the reward without the suffering. We all want the beach body, but without hitting the weight room.

Romans 5:3-4 says, but we also glory in our sufferings, because we know that suffering produces perseverance; perseverance, character; and character, hope.

I bless us all in finding glory in the suffering and not running from it any longer. Watch this video o find hope during the difficult times.
